Titanals balling up

Posted as guest by lee:

One persistant problem with this type of binding is rear stay filling with ice/compacted snow which is a bastard to remove with your poles. The best I’ve come up with is a bit of silicon spray before setting off. Has anyone come up with a better solution?

I’d like to change to the TLT binding but fear my skiing isn’t good enough…yet, to risk the less safe binding release. Anyone had any experiences good or bad with TLTs?
