Ski Mountaineering in Argentina, Dec

Hi!

I am searching for a parnter for high-altitude ski mountaineering in Argentina in Dec. 2005.
I will be on Cerro Pissis until the end of November, and then I would like to ski some high peaks near Tupungato or La Ramada/Mercedario. This is my fourth Andes Expedition.

Maybe somebody down there at that time would be interested to join.

Hi Peter,
I’m wondering, if attemped a ski mountaineering expeditions in Argentina in Dec, even in high-altitude, isn’t too late, cause of the penitentes in snow slopes.
We will be there, after 12th december this years, and it would be the second time, we go in Argentina.
I am searching some news about the normal route on Juncal, from Chili, if you did it before.

This year there was a lot of snow. December is late indeed, but above 4000 m in colouirs and on ice faces it should be OK.
Ultralight/Racing skis or short skis would probably be appropriate.

I have no current info on Juncal. Also non of Chilean friends have done it. I would also not mind general mountaineering btw., Juncal is on my list, too.
