The « witch technique », as it is called here, is normally used only for alpine touring competitions (but is now partially forbidden, due to higher difficulty (steepness) of such contests, which causes some safety problems). The technique is very simple: you ride your ski poles, like you would ride a horse, and you go straight down. To brake, you simply pull the poles. You use strong poles with a kind of metal star instead of the normal plastic piece at the bottom of the pole. It is really not a beautiful ski technique, and it leaves awful tracks.

I work in a Skicentre, Sometimes i go to work on skating skis and want to be able to go down safely in the end of the day,
So i thought a set of witch batons could solve that problem.

Dear Gunnar, I used to qualify of “Tafiole” every one who tries to do something which attempt to be different of the classic way to practise climbing mountaineering. This is a kind of joke don’t be offended, this have to be considered at a second degrees, from time to time I’m myself a “tafiole”, well not really a real tafiole as you can think, a tafiole at a second degrees, but in fact not a tafiole at all. Because you known most of the competitors used the “witch’s pool“ to descent because they only have a strong heart and large lung but a very low level in skiing (like xav.), so they are a kind of tafiole, but not really, you see it’s only a joke.
But in your case it’s quiet different and definitively you’re not a tafiole.
