Duration of the Expedition: 80 Days

Mt. Everest, rising 8848m (29,028 Ft) above sea level is the highest mountain on Earth. Its summit ridge marks the border between Nepal and China, but the summit itself is in Nepal.
Mt. Everest has two main climbing route, the southeast ridge from Nepal and the northeast ridge from Tibet, as well as 13 other less frequently climbed routes. Of the two main routes, the southeast ridge is technically easier and is the most frequently used route. It was the route used by Hillary and Tenzing in 1953. Since then, south east route has seen over 1000 ascents. This was, however, a route decision dictated more by politics than by design as the Tibetan border was closed to foreigners in 1949.
Most attempts are made during April and May before the summer monsoon season. A change in the jet stream at this time of year also reduces the average wind speeds high on the mountain. While attempts are sometimes made after the monsoons in September and October, the additional snow deposited by the monsoons makes climbing even more difficult.

After final preparation in Kathmandu our trekking to the Everest Base Camp begins from Lukla just 35 minutes flight from Kathmandu. As you trek ahead from Lukla, you will be passing Namche Bazaar-densely populated by Sherpas and a trading junction of this region; Tengboche-world famous monastery, Lobuche and finally approach to the Mt. Everest base camp from where our climbing begins. Generally, South East Face is normal route and if you follow this, four camps to be made to summit the mountain.

Camping at high altitude needs careful planning. The site must be as safe as possible from avalanches and tent must be anchored firmly enough to withstand gale-force winds.
In spite of the harshness of life at high altitude, one is constantly aware of the unbelievable beauty of the landscape. Views across distant mountains in unforgettable in the clear situation. Everest is an impressively beautiful place if one can desired to do it. You are suggested to allow this expedition at least 80 days trip prior to depending upon your physical and climatic conditions.
