next month i’m going to Swiss, near Genewa
i want to climb for a while
could anybody tell me sth about Leaz and Saleve or maybe some other nice places near Genewa?
any topo, advice etc…??
do these roads have bolts, ring etc …? or i have to use my own protection ??
i’ve found some www pages about these areas - but they’re in French, so it’s useless for me ;/

The Saleve is a pretty cool place to climb. It is equiped, but in some areas it might be better to bring some extra protections, as the points are sometimes considered a bit far one from each other.
There is a topo, but we are all waiting for the new edition. The author owns the shop « cactus » in Carouge (Geneva).
The Saleve has different sectors : the main ones are around Collonges sous Saleve, parking your car in « le coin » close to a tennis court. From there, you will go towards the right and find quite a lot of routes. However, not many indications…
From Monnetier, you can go to « le canape » : top rope sector

i’m coming on 9th August i hope that weather will be OK, i’ve heard that right now it rains very often ;/
thanks for this www site, i’ve got the question about topo of Saleve: do these red points on the tops means rings??
have a lines about 6a, 6b (i’m a begginer 
good protection, i mean: bolts, spits etc…?
rope 60m and about 10 quickdraw and of course some HMS, and carabiners etc… are enough?

Weather is pretty bad these days. Hopefully August will be better.

i was thinkig about Gaillands in Chamonix, but right now i’ve got so many possibilities of climbing places near Genewa, so i think that we’ll (i’m going with my girlfriend) stay in near Genewa
