Dear Catherine,
thank you very much for your response. I appreciate that correcting the problems with the new version takes time, but I think most of the members would agree with me that it is important that the author of the outing has an ability to edit, delete, and re-order already posted images, just like it is possible to modify already posted text. Some images are fine posted as they were taken, some may need adjustment which would change the modification date, so it does not make sense to order them by the modification date. Also, it is always possible that the user accidentally slides the wrong image in the upload window (as happened to me yesterday), so it makes no sense to make this action reversible only by a moderator.
In general, I appreciate that a lot of work has gone into the new version, and some of the new features are very impressive and fancy, but it is not the amount of work that matters for the user, but the utility and the ease of use. I think for the old-fashined folks who read C2C mostly from a computer screen and not on a mobile phone, it would be very useful to have an option to display recent outings in a compact line-per-line form, similar to how it was arranged in the old version.
Sincerely
