Hi…I have plans to come over from the states this late March or early April to give the N.faces a go.
Does anyone have any info on the current Eiger/Matterhorn climbing conditions? Any ascents this season?
Is April 1 too late in the season to give it a go.
Any info would be appreciated.

No clues on what the matterhorn is like at the moment, but should be like all the other north faces around: super dry.
Was just over in Grindelwald to climb the neighbourgh of the Eiger, the Mönch, and we turned aroudn due to super unbelievably dry conditions… the Eiger (compared to when I was on it last year in March) seem super dry. Seems like the Spider doesn’t even exist! But I think it’s in since it looks like what it would be like in summer, without the rockfalls.
End of March, beginning of April should be a good time…it all depends on how the conditions evolve… was there last year in march and the conditions were more than perfect…but each year’s different.
