Broad Peak Avalanche Update

The chances of finding survivors from the Broad Peak avalanche are now considered extremely unlikely.

According to climbers involved in the search operation, a drone from Base Camp has reportedly spotted what appear to be the bodies of four climbers — Nirmal Purja “Nimsdai,” Kili Pemba Sherpa, Nima Sherpa, and Wang Zhong — below Camp I on the Concordia side of the mountain.

Search teams believe all 10 climbers caught in the avalanche may have lost their lives. Authorities have not yet released official confirmation, and identification of all victims is still ongoing.
