Anyone visiting Mendoza (Argentina) or Santiago (Chile) in March?
I am looking for climbing partners for the semana santa holidays next March (20 - 24th of March 2008) and I would very much like to go explore the Cajon de Arenales (150km south of Mendoza, Argentina) for multi-pitch trad and alpine. If you are around and interested… send me an email!

Namaste and greetings from Namgya Sherpa(Treeking & Mountaineering guide in the Nepal Himalaya) but I would like to climb Mt. aconcauva perhaps next year in February but I don’t have any experiance and would like to have your suggestion and perpahs I may need to hire a guide during the trip. What would be the guide cost per day?

I don’t know to going rate for guides in Argentina but if you have no experience in high altitude trekking then hiring a guide is certainly a good idea. You will find plenty of outfitters and guide agencies if you google « Aconcagua ».
