Climbing partner France

Dear Folks,

I’m in France until August or so and looking for partners to go climbing with as soon as the weather improves. I’m located 1hr by TGV from Paris but will travel anywhere. Ideally would like to go to the mountains (Pyrenees, Les Ecrins, Chamonix, …) for a w-end +1-2 extra days to climb long routes, but would be happy to go to Fontainebleau as well. Have double ropes, a rock rack, and all personal gear for both rock and snow/ice. Speak Russian, English, German and a bit of French. Please respond to

hmmm Paris and Nice is not really round the corner, but if you want we could arrange something in July or August.
Maybe a week on Chamonix or so?
What are you interested in?
The only trouble is to get holidays I should plan it usually 3-4 weeks before.

Hi Guys!

I live in Grenoble working here for the next 6 months. I have some long week-end free so it could be cool to meet for some climbing and take a drink! I’m interested in sport climbing and multipitch climb both, why we don’t organize something in Chamonix or Ceuce or somewhere else?!

Federico, Grenoble is such a greatr place, you don’t even have to go to Chamonix etc. as there’s a lot of great climbing much closer, see some pics from 2 weeks ago:

Going to les Ecrins again at the end of this week, but this time with non-climbing friends from the US…

Thomas, thanks a lot for writing, unfortunately cannot make it to Chamonix 13-18. Do you happen to know if there are any easy climbs around Ailefroide/Vallouise, appropriate for beginners? Like a few pitches ~5A?

Update: will be in Chamonix 1-14 August, have a partner until 8th, thus looking for a partner from 9th to 14th. Rock, snow, ice.
