Climb with english speaking climber

Posted as guest by Brieuc:

Hello,
I’m a french climber who need to improve his english.I’m 18, and I practise ski touring, moutaineering, ice and rock climbing.I thought with a friend that would be great if we found an english speaking climber who would like to do an exchange or more simply to speak on internet about our passion.
I really feel like keeping climbing, and why not improve my english!!
Thanks

Hello,

I am Swedish, 28 years old. I do climbing and skiing as well. My level is about 6.
Normally I go to Arlon, but now in the summer to Igel and soon Berdorf. I live in Luxembourg city. If you are interested we can go one day? I have a couple of people I go with.
I have ordered new equipment, but now got it yet.
Do you know any shops where they sell climbing gear in or close to Luxembourg??

Let me know if you want to climb one day!
Jessica

Hi,
Luxembourg is far from where I am located, in Annecy next to Chamonix. But if you can come here, we will see what we will climb.I have not my driving license which is not practice to go where there are cliffs, or others peaks!Write me a mail, it’s better than on this forum. To buy some climbing gear there is a good shop in Strasbourg, which is « le Vieux Campeur », it’s the lesser expensive I know, expect when there are reduction in other shops.
A+

Bonjour,

Perfect. I am Scottish, live in Edinburgh, a keen and experienced
alpinist who is keen to climb with a Frenchman in the Alps. I adore
France and the French and Swiss Alps and go to Chamonix for a fortnight
every summer.

I shall be in Chamonix this year with my wife, son and mother and
father in law from 26 Aug - 11 Sep. Unfortunately I have no-one to climb with this year and need to find someone to climb with. If you are interested please mail me
and we can make some plans for this summer.

What kind of climbs would you be keen to do ?

Best wishes from Scotland. Looking forward to speaking with you.

A bientot

Hey Bruce,

I thought I might jump on this too. Ive been in contact with Brieuc about climing and im keen to get out there onto the cliff/ice/snow/whatever.

I’m an Australian who is over here working here in France. I am now about to embark on what the French heartilly embrace as ‹ summer hollidays ›. I was planing to spend a week in Chamonix from about the 18th hiking around the area because I am lacking a climbing partner and I aint spending my break away from the mountains  However, Im pretty much full flexible about my holliday dates and ill happily arrive a bit later to coincide with your trip if you are also keen.

If your interested shoot me an email at nikzed at gmail dot com.

Im pretty much fully equiped (assuming we combine some of our ice screws etc) except for a rope…however its been on the shopping list for too long so I will probably have a nice new double rope by this time

Anyway, shoot me an email.

Cheers

Nik

Hi guys!

I live in Grenoble working at INPG for the next 6 months. I’m climbing around here in the evening, but I’d like to climb on granit in chamonix, sport climb in Ceuse (and discover other places!) or do some mountaneering on Alps. Generally I’m free from Friday to Sunday. I have all the gear more or less.
We can climb, have fun, speak French-English (why not italian?)… So keep in touch!

my phone is: 06 81371558

(ehy Nick Where do you work in France?)

ciao,
fede
