Berner Oberland Haute Route

Posted as guest by Torben Bruun:

Hi there,

I am a member of the Danish mountain association, and I have tried to gather a group for an outing to do the Berner Oberland Haute Route in Easter or late april / beginning may 2007.

Unfortunately no one has signed up yet.

So I turn to this forum and ask if there is anyone who could have the interest of joining me in this outing, or if there are others already planing an outing to Berner Oberland this spring?

I have previously done the Chamonix-Zermatt in several versions, but would like to check out Berner Oberland and hopefully bag 3-4 4.000 peaks on the way.

Any one interested?

Dear Torben,
I am currently reading Peter Freuchen’s autobiography so I am quite interested in Danes if Peter is a typical Dane!
I had a 3 person haute route type trip lined up but the man just had a heart bypass ! so he and his wife will wait until 2008.
I have done Chamonix to Andermatt and am trying to go all the way to Innsbruck via Bergun etc.
We have bagged a few easy peaks in the Vallais, but normally just go A to B.
Would be great to have a few words of advice from you about getting skiers as it seems we are in the same boat!
