Cajón de los Arenales - Muralla de la Mitria : Accès pédestre

Superbe, on attend des photos avec impatience si il y en a !

Chapeau!, Incredible exploration (sorry I do not write French).

I have that route in my radar, and I am almost sure it is a new line.
There was an expedition in 1950 that used the same approach but a different line in the glacier (https://www.andeshandbook.org/media/documents/Ascenso_Cerro_San_Juan_-_Zechner.pdf)

Interesting to see they had the same worries as you, not being sure whether the ridge connected to the upper mountain. They did have the altitudes completely wrong though.

Anyway, I will be trying to approach from the east side of the ridge (climbing a steep snow ramp to the side of the glacier) to gain your walled campsite (thanks for your effort)

Then we will see how things go.

There is an interesting effort on the Marmolejo NE route in the article (which is actually Marmolejo North, slightly lower than the true summit), that may be also worth trying.

Thank you for the post Mercy!!!
