Less than one hour after, yours tracks were blown by 2 avalanches, and one major occured at the bottom of coillu. Hélicoptère came for a rescue

@dormeur10 thanks for the info, well, not my tracks as I followed the sunny side, the slope on your photo got heavily wind loaded, so it does not shock me, but I’d not expect for such a slab to come spontaneous, crazy. On the other hand, unless someone traversed high up you had to be very unlucky to be caught by this one, not to mention buried. Do you know if anyone was anyone hurt?

Coillu already had a big slide in the morning, I don’t understand what all those people were going there after so much fresh snow and tons of wind. oO

@JohanKoch do you mean the one with La Tournette?

My bad I thought you went there.
We dis the same and prefered the sunny side.
No one got stucked in these one.
But it was very surprising the number of People going in the coillu whereas it was continuously falling from the upper ridge.
We counted 3 minor, majority of aérosol until the 4th that cover tracks in the bottom of coillu.
Warnings were not enough significa.t…

I have found this report, it seems like there was someone half buried and unharmed on the Blonniere side, same exposition, just next slope. I think many more people ended up going there

Really ?
No

The wind effect and the steeper part from N of Chatelet is great.

@JohanKoch lol, my bad! I completely missed the fact Mont Blanc is in the background of that one! It’s my favorite from this set as well, perfectly shows the conditions on the ridge and also you can see nicely how insane the cornice is. Thanks!
